How to Apply Makeup to Achieve a Natural Look

When it comes to natural face makeup, the goal is to conceal any imperfections without looking like your face is entirely covered with product. Instead of using a full-coverage foundation, use only concealer on the areas of the skin where you have some redness, such as around the nose, and where you have shadows, such as under the eyes. Then conceal any blemishes or scars by dabbing a tiny amount of product on them, and then blend until it looks seamless.
Alternatively, if you wish to even out your skin tone and want a little more coverage, mix a few drops of your favorite foundation with your face moisturizer. This will give you some coverage, but it will sheer it out, giving a more natural look compared to the full-coverage look of foundation.

Step 2: Add a Subtle Flush

Adding a subtle flush on the cheeks gives a more healthy look to the face while still looking natural. Choose a blush color that looks like your natural flush after a jog, and opt for a cream texture instead of a powder, as powders tend to look more obvious on the skin.
Pat the blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards toward your upper cheekbones. Blend until you no longer see the edges of the color you apply. If you prefer, you may use a synthetic blush brush to apply the cream blush, and apply product little by little.

Step 3: Enhance Your Lashes

Skip eyeliner and bright eyeshadows, and focus instead on enhancing your lashes, which can make your eyes appear more awake and fresh. Focus on applying the mascara at the roots of the lashes, which will make them appear naturally thicker.
If your lashes are not naturally long and curly, use an eyelash curler and then apply one coat of mascara, preferable waterproof. Waterproof mascara formulas tend to hold the curl better than water-based mascaras, so your lashes stay curled all day long.
If you want to line your eyes make sure to keep the line thin and as close to the lash line as possible, which gives the appearance of thicker lashes without looking too made up.
